Urgent Appeal Launched for Critical Medical Care, Rehabilitation, and Shelter Resources as Rescued Dogs Face Road to Recovery
NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- International animal rescue organization No Dogs Left Behind (NDLB) today announced the successful shutdown of three illegal dog trafficking facilities across East Asia in a high-intensity, two-month operation. The coordinated interventions led to the rescue of over 175 dogs.
It takes months of rigorous reconnaissance and gathering evidence of all atrocities before the team finally attacks and shuts down these torture facilities, infiltrating the cartels and their networks of illegal dog trafficking. The rescued dogs faced unimaginable horrors: breeder dogs were tied to breeding poles until they could no longer breathe, often tortured and skinned alive for their fur to be sold for gloves and other accessories. Their meat was sold, or they were simply tossed into chicken cages and sent to slaughterhouses, where they experienced unimaginable additional cruelty before finally being tortured and killed for their meat. No Dogs Left Behind saved them all by shutting down the dog trafficking facilities and confiscating the dogs the right way, without any exchange of money.
Urgent Medical Protocol and Rehabilitation Underway
Many of the rescued dogs were found in severely compromised conditions, suffering from extreme trauma, malnutrition, and acute injuries. NDLB has immediately placed all survivors into its comprehensive emergency medical protocol, which includes:
- Immediate Life-Saving Interventions: Emergency triage, wound care, and fluid therapy for critical patients.
- Comprehensive Diagnostic Testing: Complete bloodwork and specialized testing for infectious diseases.
- Preventative Care & Surgery: Mandatory vaccinations, parasite treatments, and spay/neuter procedures.
- Safe Shelter & Nutrition: Round-the-clock shelter care, high-nutrition diets, and specialized behavioral rehabilitation.
Crucial Need for Emergency Public Support
With more than 175 newly rescued dogs requiring intensive, long-term medical treatment and daily care, NDLB is issuing an urgent national and international call for donations. Immediate funds are critically needed for the treatment of these precious souls who have experienced so much cruelty for so long. The medical treatment and their rehabilitation to learn to trust humans again will take time and the hard work of the No Dogs Left Behind team.

"Saving them from the slaughterhouses was the first step," said Jeffrey Beri, Founder of No Dogs Left Behind. "Now, we need the public's help to heal their bodies and spirits. Every single one of these dogs deserves a second chance at life, safe from cruelty, but we cannot do it without community support."
