Northern Pacific Group Announces The Creation Of New Last Mile Delivery Platform, 1st Choice Delivery
WAYZATA, Minn., Nov. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Northern Pacific Group, a Minnesota-based private equity investment firm, is pleased to announce the acquisition of two last mile delivery providers, 1st Choice Delivery, based in St. Louis, Missouri, and 4SameDay, based in El Segundo, California. These two businesses will serve as the platform for consolidation under the 1st Choice Delivery brand. The previous owners of both companies retained a significant ownership position in the combined company and will remain actively involved in the business going forward.
Northern Pacific Group partnered with Deerpath Capital Management to provide a senior credit facility. Backbone Capital Advisors assisted in the arrangement of debt financing and Faegre Baker Daniels served as the primary legal counsel to the team.
1st Choice Delivery provides last mile delivery services in the central Midwest for pharmaceutical distributers, office product suppliers and other time-sensitive commodities.
4SameDay provides both scheduled and on-demand last mile distribution services in southern California to pharmaceutical distributers and other companies that require time-sensitive deliveries of items of value.
Both companies have experienced significant recent growth and have leveraged that growth to improve already best-in-class service levels through investments in state of the art track and trace technology, along with implementing leading edge security systems for all their facilities and vehicles.
