SAN MATEO, Calif., April 19, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NousDecor® announced today it has expanded its online interior design service into mobile with the launch of an app that enables users to start and manage professional interior design projects entirely via an iPhone, iPad or iTouch.
Available today in the iTunes store (iOS only), the new NousDecor app provides a seamless tool for collaborating and communicating with acclaimed, celebrity designer Mark Cutler and the company's in-house design team on home decorating projects. Users can use the app to take photos of a room, furniture they are keeping, and spaces that inspire them, and those photos are directly uploaded into their project folder for Cutler and the NousDecor design team to review. Within the app, users can also ask questions and deliver real time feedback on looks created by the design team to perfect and finalize the final design.
With this launch, NousDecor becomes the first company to offer comprehensive, professional interior design services via both desktop and mobile platform. The new mobile app is an extension of the online interior design service NousDecor launched this fall, which includes flat- fee, per room packages ranging from $199-$499 featuring personalized, professional guidance from acclaimed, celebrity designer Mark Cutler.
How NousDecor Works
On NousDecor.com or the NousDecor app, users take a quiz to identify their decorating style and fill out a profile for NousDecor's in-house design team identifying a budget and specifics about their needs for their space. They can then upload "before" photos of the room, along with inspirational images and links to Pinterest boards and Houzz ideabooks, to better guide the process. Shortly after completing the quiz and online brief, users receive a personal design plan including a list of furniture and décor items curated around a specific theme, color palette or central idea. In addition to a furniture layout and custom floor plan, users get a 3D digital rendering, installation instructions, unlimited iterations to perfect the look and live chat support to provide feedback or ask questions. In addition, with NousDecor's design services on the app or online platform, users receive access to design industry-exclusive furnishings.
For those interested in working more directly with NousDecor Chief Designer and celebrity decorator Mark Cutler, whose Los Angeles studio has been named one of the "top 40 US design firms in the US" by Robb Report magazine and boasts a roster of Hollywood A-list clients, NousDecor also offers a "Premium" service for $499 per room.
"In this era of HGTV, home décor blogs and Instagram feeds, the appetite and expectation among consumers for easy, affordable tools to create a beautiful home is higher than ever," explains NousDecor CEO and Founder Heather Gillette. "With this new app, along with our streamlined website, NousDecor serves that demand by providing the first seamless, completely mobile experience for professional interior design services, regardless of budget."
