DALLAS, Feb. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) made several announcements today recapping its latest programs and scholarships, and unveiling its 2014 National Conference theme. The national organization has also recognized its Chapter of the Year winners.
As a part of a three-day series of events to kick off the NSHMBA Annual Conference & Career Expo, the Pre-Conference Media Kick-Off, which took place on February 12, 2014, served as a special opportunity for local media and other invited guests to officially welcome NSHMBA to the city of Philadelphia and learn about what the organization will be bringing to the city upon its return in September for its 2014 Annual Conference & Career Expo. Philadelphia's mayor, Michael A. Nutter, helped announce NSHMBA's conference theme: 'Opening New Doors – Opportunities & Success'. At the Conference Kick-off, NSHMBA launched the new Conference Scholarship Award to provide up to $250,000 in financial assistance to qualified Hispanic members wishing to attend its 2014 Annual Conference & Career Expo. "This program allows us to provide financial assistance to a number of deserving Hispanic MBA students who otherwise may not have been able to attend our career expo, which is the premier venue for top career opportunities," said Manny Gonzalez, CEO of NSHMBA. In addition, NSHMBA announced the Chapter of the Year award recipients recognized at the event.
