PANAMA CITY, Panama, April 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The 7th Summit of the Americas was held in Panama City from April 10th to April 11th, where more than 30 heads of state and government of the America met, including Barack Obama, President of United States and Raul Castro the leader of Cuba. The host country Panama required robust security, and ensuring the safety of the conference attendees was the top priority. More than 5,000 police officers were involved in maintaining order, with 1,000 police officers with anti-terrorism training. All the venues, the presidential palace and other five-star hotels were equipped by Nuctech-Panama.
Nuctech-Panama was highly appreciated by the host with its advanced technology, excellent performance and thorough service. More than 40 sets of equipment were provided during the meetings, in which the Mobile Inspection Systems accompanied the Panama Presidential Guard for emergency response. "We had long been pleased with the capability and service of Chinese enterprises, and found them competent after assessing their resource capacity," Eduardo, the captain of the Panama Presidential Guard stated in an interview with Xinhua. "Together, we would try our best to provide security for the Summit."
This was another big security event that was organized by Nuctech in the Americas after the 2014 Brazil FIFA World Cup. Under the pressure of limited time, a heavy work load and extreme difficulty, Nuctech once again undertook a mission at a critical moment. Nuctech completed the task perfectly, which again demonstrated the strength and courage of Chinese high-tech companies.
