Since its establishment in 2006, the center has partnered with schools of nursing in 50 states, supported more than 1,000 Jonas Nurse Leaders Scholars and provided more than $25 million in funding to nurses pursuing graduate degrees.

Gen. Patricia D. Horoho, RN, who in 2011 became the first woman and first nurse to be named U.S. Army Surgeon General.
