Ocean Tomo's acquisition of Veris Consulting expands the firm's Financial Expert, Management Consulting, and Advisory services beyond its historical focus on Intellectual Property matters. The combined firm comprises more than eighty professionals, with multiple globally recognized experts.
CHICAGO, June 29, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Ocean Tomo, LLC ("Ocean Tomo"), in partnership with Bow River Capital ("Bow River"), announced today the acquisition of Virginia-based financial forensics firm, Veris Consulting. Founded by industry stalwart Larry Johnson, Veris Consulting is led by an experienced team including Michelle Avery, Jon Couchman, and Ed Buttner.
Veris Consulting expands Ocean Tomo's platform of services, adding several testifying expert witness professionals to Ocean Tomo's team of intellectual property damages experts. The combined firm provides industry-leading litigation consulting capabilities addressing economic damages, financial forensics, accounting and auditing standards, disputes and insolvencies, and corporate investigations, in addition to management consulting and advisory services. Concurrently, the addition of Veris Consulting deepens the firm's scope of engagements involving breach of contract, fraud, valuation, and bankruptcy, among other areas.
