Ohio Congressman Bill Johnson Visits NACD Member SAL Chemical In West Virginia

ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SAL Chemical facility in Weirton, West Virginia was honored with a visit from U.S. Congressman Bill Johnson (R-OH).  SAL Chemical is a member in good standing of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD).

SAL Chemical representatives from West Virginia invited the Ohio Congressman to visit and tour their Weirton facility when they visited with him at his office in Washington in May. Many SAL Chemical employees – nearly half – live in Ohio, so the Congressman promised to visit this summer. Last week Congressman Johnson made good on that pledge. SAL Chemical welcomed the Congressman and provided him the opportunity to meet and speak with employees while touring the Weirton, WV facility. The Congressman was able to see first-hand the chemical distribution industry's important role in the West Virginia and Ohio, as well as national economies. He also learned more about NACD's Responsible Distribution program which SAL Chemical and all members of the Association adhere to each year. Responsible Distribution is a mandatory environmental, health, safety and stewardship program for the chemical distribution industry.
