Olin Announces Pricing Terms Of Debt Offering

CLAYTON, Mo., Aug. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Olin Corporation (NYSE: OLN) announced today the pricing of its offering of $200 million aggregate principal amount of Senior Notes due 2022 (the "Senior Notes").  The Senior Notes will mature on August 15, 2022, will have an interest rate of 5.50% and will be issued at 100% of par value.  Interest will be paid semi-annually on the 15th day of February and August, beginning February 15, 2013. The Senior Notes will be sold pursuant to Olin's shelf registration statement on file with the Securities and Exchange Commission.  The underwriters for the transaction are BofA Merrill Lynch, Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC.  Proceeds from the Senior Notes are expected to be used to pay a portion of the purchase price for the acquisition of K. A. Steel Chemicals Inc.  If the K. A. Steel Chemicals Inc. acquisition has not been consummated on or before the closing of the Senior Notes offering, the proceeds of the offering will be placed in an account pending the completion of the K. A. Steel Chemicals Inc. acquisition.
