On-Demand Dog Walking App Wag! Launches in Washington, DC

WASHINGTON, Sept. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Relief is on the way for the District's 93,000 canines and their owners. No, Mayor Muriel Bowser has no plans to turn Rock Creek Park into a giant dog run any time soon. But Wag!, the first app to provide dog owners with instant access to quality dog walkers, is today introducing its on-demand dog walking service in Washington, DC. Wag!'s District launch follows big rollouts in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Chicago, Denver and other U.S. cities.

On-demand dog walking app Wag! uses its GPS-enabled "Puppy Tracker" to let pet parents follow their dog's walk. The app's "pee" and "poop" reports mark exactly where the pooch did its business. Wag! is available for iOS and Android.

With as little as 30-minutes notice, busy dog owners can book a certified Wag! walker to care for their canine. After pick-up, pet parents can:

Track their dog's walk in real time using Wag!'s GPS Puppy Tracker feature
Check out the app's "pee" and "poop" report marking exactly where Fido conducted its business
Study the "Pup Report" that includes a picture of the pet and a map of the walk once it concludes

All Wag! services are insured and bonded. Wag! charges $20 for a 30-minute walk, and an additional $5 per dog in the same household.
