NEW ORLEANS and BASKING RIDGE, N.J., May 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless is the industry leader in customer loyalty, reporting the lowest postpaid customer churn (turnover) rate among America's largest wireless providers in the first quarter of 2012.

Churn is a key measure of customer loyalty and represents the percentage of customers who leave their wireless providers in a given time period.  First-quarter financial performance announcements – the latest of which was released today – included the following postpaid customer churn rates, based on the average monthly churn for the quarter:
