The Pop It Forward™ Contest was a national search for fun and creative ideas for sharing one million Pop-Tarts® toaster pastries. Kozar won the online vote for his idea to create over-the top works of pop-art from Pop-Tarts® boxes, wrappers and even the pastries themselves.
"From the frosting, sprinkles and delicious flavors to its colorful packaging and one-of-a-kind imagery, the Pop-Tarts® brand has always been about fun," said Zena Arnold Pop-Tarts® senior brand manager. "We are thrilled to bring fun and excitement here to Pittsburgh with today's delivery – and also we are very excited to see the grand prize idea from our Pop-Tarts™ Pop It Forward™ Contest come to life."
In early April, Kozar will host an exhibition of his Pop-Tart®-inspired creations at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Gallery. Each piece will be based on Kozar's vision and creativity. He plans to create an assortment of Pittsburgh inspired artwork to share and showcase. The artwork will include a mixture of art ranging from 3D exhibits to life-size sculptures, fun framed pieces, and even a dress made out of the Pop-Tarts™ signature foil.
"I am very excited to bring my vision and creativity to life using one-million Pop-Tarts® pastries, while also paying tribute to the Pittsburgh area," said Kozar. "I can't wait to unveil the finished pop art Pop-Tarts™ art pieces!"
Once the artwork creation is complete, Kozar plans to donate the unused Pop-Tarts® toaster pastries to local charities.
