onPhase Appoints Boyce Adams as Chief Payments Officer
Veteran payments and fintech leader joins onPhase to accelerate payment capabilities, customer value, and partner growth
TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- onPhase, an integrated finance and operations platform, today announced the appointment of Boyce Adams as Chief Payments Officer. In this role, Adams will lead onPhase's payments vision, strategy, and execution to strengthen the payments roadmap, expand platform capabilities, and deliver greater value to the customers who rely on onPhase to automate their invoice and payment operations. Adams will report to the Chief Executive Officer, Robert Michlewicz.
The appointment comes as payments takes on an increasingly central role in the onPhase platform, connecting directly to the value onPhase delivers for customers, the strength of its partner ecosystem, and its ability to scale. Adams' primary focus is expanding what customers can do with onPhase payments and ensuring that every payment moving through the platform carries the same visibility and control they expect across the rest of their financial operations.
Adams brings more than 20 years of experience in payments, fintech, and B2B software. As President and Chief Executive Officer of BankTEL, he scaled the company to serve more than 2,000 financial institutions with accounting and compliance automation software. He later selected AvidXchange as BankTEL's strategic partner and led the company through its acquisition in 2019. Adams then joined AvidXchange's executive team as Senior Vice President, serving through the company's 2021 initial public offering and as executive sponsor of its strategic relationship with Mastercard. Most recently, Adams has served as a Senior Operating Advisor at Aquiline Capital Partners, holding board and advisory roles across its fintech and payments portfolio, including the onPhase Board of Directors. Adams will step down from his advisory and board roles as he moves into this new executive position.
