Oregon CIO Wins Public Sector Innovation Award with Jive-Powered Social Business Platform

PALO ALTO, Calif., April 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dugan Petty, Oregon's CIO, was recently named by Government Technology magazine and Center for Digital Government in their "Top 25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers" list. The 2011 Winners were chosen based on their use of technology to improve government performance, boost efficiency and strengthen citizen services. Petty was recognized for a variety of innovative government IT initiatives that he has led since joining the state as CIO in 2006.

Petty specifically led Oregon's development of Oregon GovSpace, a Jive-powered internal and external social business community to engage with state agencies, boards, commissions and their business partners. The platform launched in early 2008 with just under 200 individual accounts. In a little over a year, the community grew to reach 1,503 individual accounts.
