ADS Securities has completed the global roll-out of its new OREX Optim GUI. The GUI developed by the in-house team with external advisors has already been highly praised by users. It combines the latest approach and thinking on the best ways to prioritise on-screen data with the knowledge and expertise from traders and platform specialists. The design focuses on highlighting essential data and dropping back non-essential information, which helps streamline decision making. The screen uses 'flat' graphics, a feature of the latest iOS and Android operating systems, which allows core functionality to be clearly displayed and not lost amongst less important feeds.

The GUI was beta tested with a number of clients prior to being released to all customers. This was never going to be a simple job of introducing new icons and changing the page around, we wanted a completely different look, feel and customer journey. OREX Optim was designed from conception as a multi-asset platform with the ability to trade a range of financial instruments from a single screen. This requires a very structured and clear GUI which clients can tailor to their own trading style. The GUI design will also be adapted and used for mobile and tablet devices and this will be launched in Q1, 2015.
"When building OREX Optim we had the advantage of not having legacy technology, we started with a blank piece of paper and designed the platform to provide the trading clients want.
