Over 700 Children Gather for the 28th Annual Great Falls Easter Egg Hunt

GREAT FALLS, Va., April 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Adeler Jewelers, exclusive custom jewelry designer serving the Washington, D.C. area, recently hosted the 28th annual Great Falls Children's Spring Festival & Easter Egg Hunt. This year's event, second only in size to the White House Easter Egg Roll, attracted over 700 children plus their parents and friends.

The spring festival was held at the Great Falls, Virginia Village Centre on Sunday, April 1st, from 2:00 to 4:30 and was open to all children ages 1 to 10. This year's event was a great family afternoon of games, rides, food, and the exciting Easter egg hunt which local children look forward to all year. This egg hunt is unique in that $10,000 worth of real gemstones were included within 7,000 Easter eggs hidden all over the Centre property. Many lucky children went home with their own gems courtesy of Adeler Jewelers.

All proceeds from the event benefited the Great Falls Optimist Club, who also served as co-hosts along with the Adelers. The Optimist Club is dedicated to meeting the needs of young people in the community by supporting their activities and schools. They deliver a message of encouraging community service among young people through developing optimism as a philosophy of life.
