Through the Dyno Frontiers Network, PackGene has delivered three client projects at 10L scale, supporting large animal model preclinical studies, and produced high-quality material across five Dyno capsids using its proprietary platform process
HOUSTON, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- PackGene Biotech announced today at the Cell & Gene Meeting on the Mesa the delivery of client AAV manufacturing projects through the Dyno Frontiers Network, supporting gene therapy programs that use next-generation capsids engineered by Dyno Therapeutics. The projects further demonstrate PackGene's ability to reliably manufacture across multiple capsids, delivering high-quality material at a scale that supports preclinical studies.
Earlier this year PackGene joined the Dyno Frontiers Network, an ecosystem curated by Dyno Therapeutics that supports gene therapy developers using its advanced capsids. Since then, the company has evaluated its manufacturing platform across five Dyno capsids and two different transgene payloads (the therapeutic genes the vectors carry), demonstrating the ability to successfully produce a range of Dyno capsids using its established platform process.
PackGene has also delivered three client projects across two Dyno capsids at 10L production scale, supporting large-animal model preclinical studies. Using its proprietary π-Alpha 293 AAV Platform, including suspension cell culture and column-based downstream processing, PackGene achieved favorable product quality attributes, including final product full/empty capsid ratios above 80 percent.
"Novel capsids only create value for patients if they can be translated into reliable, scalable manufacturing processes," said Xin Swanson, Chief Strategy Officer at PackGene. "Our successful work across multiple Dyno capsids and payloads demonstrates the manufacturing expertise needed to help bridge that gap and advance promising AAV programs toward the clinic."
Studies of additional Dyno capsids are ongoing, with further data anticipated later this year. As a manufacturing partner within the Dyno Frontiers Network, PackGene provides AAV manufacturing and process development capabilities for developers working with engineered capsids, from research-grade through preclinical and GMP production.
