THE STAR-STUDDED EVENING INSPIRES INDIVIDUALS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF CHILDREN FACING THIS DEVASTATING DISEASE
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Last night PADRES Contra El Cancer (PADRES) celebrated their 13th Annual Fundraising Gala, "El Sueno de Esperanza" at Club Nokia at L.A. Live. With more than 400 celebrities and leaders in business, entertainment and philanthropy in attendance, the event helped raise funds that will support PADRES in their mission to provide children with cancer and their families with the programs and services they need to find HOPE while they battle this devastating disease.
Among the event attendees were Mario Lopez, who served as Master of Ceremonies, sharing the stage with national spokespersons, Eva Longoria and Beto Cuevas. The evening also included the presence of families and children that PADRES benefits every year, who were truly the stars of the Gala, and who were present to inspire attendees with their stories.

Latin Grammy Award winning Artist, Ana Barbara was the surprise of the evening. She interpreted a moving, special tribute performance, dedicated to cancer survivors. Another performer of the Gala was world renowned flamenco singer and percussionist, Antonio Carmona and international flamenco entertainers Manuel Gutierrez and Fanny Ara, who delighted the audience with their passionate performance.
As part of this gala, Latin Grammy Award-winning Mexican rock singer and actress, Alejandra Guzman and Multiple Latin Grammy and Grammy Award winning regional Mexican music singer and songwriter, Joan Sebastian, were the two special honorees of the evening, receiving an award for their tireless efforts of HOPE against cancer.
Additional celebrity attendees included Edward James Olmos, Yancey Arias, Enrique Gutierrez, Amaury Nolasco, Keven Ramirez, Josie Loren, Enrique Castillo, Panky Savinon, Constance Marie, Matt Cedeno, Dania Ramirez, Edy Ganem, Cassie Scerbo, Rafael Amaya, Angelica Celaya and many more.
