Painesville Area Chamber of Commerce Names The OurPet's Company Its 2015 Business of the Year

FAIRPORT HARBOR, Ohio, Dec. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Painesville Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that The OurPet's Company, a pet product manufacturer headquartered in Fairport Harbor, has been named its 2015 Business of the Year.

After founding and operating six companies in Lake County in markets including electronics, thermoplastic and thermoset polymers and metal finishing, Dr. Tsengas started The OurPet's Company in 1995 with the invention of the Big Dog Feeder, an elevated feeder for large-breed dogs. The Big Dog Feeder soon enjoyed commercial success. Using knowledge of electronics, plastics, and other materials, Dr. Tsengas and his sons, Nick and Dean, were able to expand the OurPet's product offering. What began as a company with one product in 1995 has expanded to include over 300 products and more than 50 employees today.

The OurPet's Company supports the community by donating to local animal shelters and participating in events that benefit animals. The company donates product to a wide variety of fund-raising events, including those sponsored by local police departments and Fairport Harding High School. In addition to the company's civic activities, Dr. Tsengas currently serves as a trustee on the Lake County Development Council.
