PALM HARBOR WELCOMES ITS FIRST METRO DINER LOCATION

The eatery brings its modern takes on classic American favorites to the scenic city on Florida's Gulf Coast

PALM HARBOR, Fla., Oct. 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Metro Diner, famous for its classic diner fare and relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, has opened its sixth location in the Tampa Bay area, the first in the Palm Harbor community. Located at 35000 US Highway 19N in The Fountains shopping center, the 3,490-square-foot diner seats 112 guests and is operated by Managing Partner Eric Derrico.

"It's exciting to open Palm Harbor's first Metro Diner," said Derrico, a lifelong restaurateur. "Many guests are already familiar with our craveable offerings, having visited other locations, and they're as thrilled as we are to now have a Metro Diner in their community."

Topping the long list of Metro Diner fan favorites is the famous Fried Chicken & Waffle, featuring half of a fried chicken atop a Belgian waffle, topped with decadent strawberry butter, and served with signature sweet-and-spicy sauce.
