Patricia Yulkowski, CEO Of Total Door Systems, Elected As President Of The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association

Total Door Systems is the only manufacturer of its kind in the U.S., engineering and making all of the parts and hardware that go into its patented integrated door system from its Michigan plants. The company's roots lie in an innovative lock system that became industry standard. The company has transformed under Ms. Yulkowski, its second-generation CEO, to become the global leader in integrated access technologies, focusing on sustainability, local sourcing, and operational excellence.

More than 80 percent of U.S.-based manufacturers of builders' hardware are BHMA members. Together, BHMA members produce the vast majority of the hardware items used in the nation's commercial and institutional buildings – from hinges and locks to door controls and exit devices.

Ms. Yulkowski's two-year tenure began in January 2018.
