LOS ANGELES, Aug. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Saban Brands is pleased to announce its partnership with Los Angeles-based artist, Megan Whitmarsh, for the production of a limited edition collection Julius in Yeti City.
Set to debut in the Spring of 2013, the collaboration fuses classic Paul Frank with Whitmarsh's futuristic artistic concept to produce an array of products including apparel, accessories, and print work. Whitmarsh's artwork focuses on a fantasy world called Yeti City, in which Whitmarsh will now invite Julius and his friends to join and encounter colorful landscapes, Keytars, and friendly mythical creatures.
As a mother of young children, Whitmarsh knows how to access the part of her art that appeals to kids: characters, colors, and imagination. "I want to create a world that is inviting and inspires the audience to daydream and create their own imaginative universes," says Whitmarsh, "and I'm thrilled to collaborate with Paul Frank to create products inspired by the creativity and artistic roots of the brand."
Paul Frank prides itself in being a firm supporter of the arts and this collaboration is a testament to this. "We are very excited to embark on our latest collaboration with fine artist Megan Whitmarsh, merging Megan's aesthetic with our classic design was a great decision as we continue to push the brand in this creative direction," says Elie Dekel, President, Saban Brands.
