LAS VEGAS, Oct. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Payworks, a global payment gateway and EMV technology platform with integrated POS solutions, today announced its first U.S. independent software vendor (ISV) channel partner, 360 Payment Solutions, Inc., a provider of payment processing solutions for small and mid-sized businesses. On the heels of expanding to the United States, this partnership positions Payworks as the first and only U.S.-based company to offer processing capabilities to the United States, Canada and all European countries with a single software integration. The roll out is slated to begin immediately.
"The United States has been a natural point of expansion for Payworks given the increasing proliferation of mobile and tablet POS solutions in this market against the backdrop of unmet EMV needs," said Jordan McKee, Senior Analyst, 451 Research. "Payworks' gateway platform is designed to address these market demands with an apparent focus on ease-of-implementation and flexibility in deployment – scratching noticeable itches for both merchants and their payment providers."
360 Payments will use Payworks' technology and offer the increasing number of growing global ISVs access to new payment technology coupled with EMV readers. With the Payworks gateway and developer-centric offer, 360 Payments will immediately be able to work with Android, iOS and Windows-based applications developed by ISVs for any number of merchant verticals. The partnership enables light-speed integration, empowers applications with a card reader and takes merchants and ISVs out of the PCI scope, increasing security.
"Today is a very exciting day for the U.S. team at Payworks and 360 Payments. With Payworks' United States expansion well underway, we are leveraging our track record of partnering with best-in-class payment processing companies to enable partners to expand their business through our technology," said Christian Deger, Co-Founder and CEO, Payworks. "Payworks' global infrastructure enables 360 Payments to offer ISVs and their merchants an EMV-based solution. We're bullish on the opportunities for Payworks to continue to expand and fuel growth as we build out our U.S. footprint through strategic partnerships like this."
Until recently, credit card payments at the point of sale have been processed on outdated infrastructure, leading to high cost for merchants, security problems and very little flexibility. Payworks provides the technology to modernize point of sale applications, competing with incumbent heavyweights of the retail payment industry.
"We're constantly looking for ways to evolve our offerings to our merchants and ISV partners, and speed up their integration processes," said Stephen Ciabattoni, Co-CEO of 360 Payments. "We chose Payworks as our partner given their global infrastructure and track record of simplifying the payments process for ISVs and their merchant base. By working with Payworks, we become processor agnostic and are positioned to fulfill ISVs' diverse needs and provide a world-class solution of efficient, secure payment processing."
