Pegasus Transportation Racks Up Awards For Business Innovation

The Orlando Business Journal recognized Vice President of Pegasus Transportation, Claudia Menezes as one of their "Women Executives of the Year" recipients for 2016. She was saluted during the 18th annual "Women Who Mean Business" awards luncheon held at the Hilton Orlando along with twenty-six other high-profile women, including Kay Rollins, President of the Orlando City Foundation.

This award comes just one month after Bright House Networks named Pegasus Transportation "Business Innovator of the Year" during an elaborate Regional Business Awards ceremony attended by corporate leaders from Central Florida and Tampa. Over 750 companies submitted profiles competing for free Bright House advertising and industry bragging rights.  At the end of the night, one company was called to the stage. "We could not believe it when they called Pegasus Transportation," Claudia said.  "After years of working to get it right for our customers and constantly reinventing ourselves. We're glad for the recognition and grateful to all who have stuck with us since the beginning," she added.

Last year, Pegasus Transportation launched W.I.N.G.S. (Web Integrated Network Group Services), a new software system available on mobile devices, giving travelers access to monitor their transportation services in real time.  Clients can make modifications to existing reservations, and conduct boarding checks, make dinner reservations and hotel accommodations, all from a handheld device. "This software is a dream come true for tour operators, and what the industry was craving," according to Fernando Pereira, founder and CEO of Pegasus Transportation.

In 2015, Fernando was a, "CEO of the Year" awardee from the Orlando Business Journal. This recognition makes the third big win in a row for Pegasus Transportation.
