Peiffer Rosca Wolf Files Discrimination Lawsuit Against Former T.G.I. Friday's Franchisee Tricorp Management Company and COO Jeff Truitt

ST. LOUIS, Dec. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Peiffer Rosca Wolf law firm filed a class action in the Circuit Court for St. Louis County, Missouri, alleging discrimination against two African American female employees in late 2015.

The lawsuit alleges that after an African American female employee of the defendants made claims of sexual harassment against a white male assistant manager, she was put on two week unpaid leave, and then multiple African American female employees were fired, including the plaintiffs to the suit. Additionally, the lawsuit alleges "…during the period of Friday's 'investigation,' the assistant manager… who was accused of sexual harassment was promoted to the manager of the Downtown St. Louis Friday's."

The lawsuit contains eight counts: race discrimination, race by association discrimination, sex discrimination, and retaliatory discharge for each plaintiff. The lawsuit seeks damages including "monetary damages to compensate for lost wages, lost benefits, damage to their personal and professional reputations, emotional distress, and for punitive damages, in an amount to be determined at trial, and sufficient to prevent Defendants from engaging in the same or similar conduct as outlined above, attorney's fees and costs in an amount that is fair and reasonable, along with any other such relief deemed just and appropriate by this Court."
