PenFed Hosts Shred Fest to Help Local DC, Alexandria Residents Securely Destroy Sensitive Documents

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- GOBankingRates client Pentagon Federal Credit Union (PenFed) is hosting its annual Shred Fest event this Saturday, Oct. 4 in the Washington D.C. area, as part of an ongoing effort to help its members recycle unwanted paper materials. Members are encouraged to clean the clutter out of their homes and offices and stop by PenFed's Kingstowne branch between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., where documents will be securely destroyed.

More details on PenFed's fall Shred Fest:

• Shred Fest will take place at PenFed's Kingstowne branch, located at 5775 Barclay Drive in Alexandria, Va.
• Limit of five boxes of documents per vehicle.
• Open to the public as well as credit union members.
• All types of paper are acceptable for shredding, but CDs and other discs, staples, and binder clips should be removed beforehand.
