Winemaking Team Brings Hands-On Collector's Service to Four Markets Across North America
NAPA, Calif., Oct. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Penfolds, Australia's leading winemaker, is proud to celebrate 25 years of exclusive service by bringing the winery's highly esteemed Recorking Clinics to select markets in North America. Penfolds' winemakers are preparing to embark on a mission to New York City, Miami, Vancouver and Los Angeles, where they will quality check any Penfolds red wines that are 15 years and older. No other winery in the world offers a comprehensive, and complimentary, after-sales service on such a global scale.
A unique proposal in the world of wine, Recorking Clinics provide wine enthusiasts with the opportunity to allow Penfolds Winemakers to open and visually inspect their wine, assess the quality, top up, certify, and re-capsule their prized bottles, arresting any further deterioration due to leakage or low levels.
Penfolds has been providing its famed Recorking Clinic service to collectors around the world since 1991, with over 130,000 bottles certified since the program's inception. Wine owners must make a booking, where the esteemed Penfolds winemaking team will be on-hand to expertly assess each registered bottle.

In addition to the wine assessment, a Clinic appointment allows the opportunity to meet with a Penfolds winemaker to recount the wine's story, discuss drinking windows and cellaring recommendations. All bottles that are recorked will be certified and signed by Peter Gago, Penfolds Chief Winemaker or Steve Lienert, Penfolds Snr Red Winemaker. An optional valuation service will also be provided onsite by Christie's Auction House.
