Penn State Executive Programs earns Chief Learning Officer award
UNIVERSITY PARK, Penn., Sept. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Penn State Executive Programs has been honored by Chief Learning Officer magazine with a Learning in Practice award for work with Penn State Health, the University's health system, and its medical school, Penn State College of Medicine.
The 2016 Excellence in Academic Partnerships Award recognizes academic institutions that partner with an organization to teach its employees about a key business issue.

Penn State Health, with approximately $2 billion in annual revenue and more than 11,000 employees, includes the Milton S. Penn State Executive Programs partnered with Penn State Hershey to prepare physicians, researchers and administrators to excel in leadership roles and support the overall strategy for its three missions of education, research and clinical care.
The majority of the participants are physicians and researchers with advanced technical expertise and no business background. Participants are taught leadership, competitive assessment, strategy formulation, strategic and financial decision-making, conflict management and collaboration.

The 2016 Learning in Practice Awards were announced at an awards ceremony during the 2016 CLO Symposium+Plus on Sept. 27 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The event attracted more than 300 top corporate learning executives from around the world.
