EVENT: Labor Day Celebration (hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, refreshments); brief speakers program.
PLACE: Blair/Bedford Central Labor Council – 302 Wopsononock Ave. Altoona, PA 16601.

Labor United of Westmoreland County and Westmoreland County Commissioners Labor Day Celebration
DATES: Sunday, August 31 and Monday September 1, 2014.
EVENT: Labor United Celebration 2014 (biggest celebration east of the Mississippi).
Lots to do: great music, delicious food, carnival rides, a one ring circus, games and more, (free admission).
TIMES: 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM.
PLACE: Northmoreland Park, 280 Markle Road, Apollo PA 15613 (Armstrong County).

EVENT: Fishing Derby for youth; ages 1 thru 15 (prizes in two age categories, winners announced Immediately after fishing ends.)
TIMES: 7:00 AM – registration; 7:30 AM – orientation; 8:00 AM thru 11:30 AM – Fishing derby.

EVENT: Labor Day Parade – floats, band, cars and trucks on display – cash prizes to winners of the parade.
