Pennsylvania Governor Corbett Orders Flags at Capitol and in Lebanon County to Fly at Half-Staff in Honor of Former House Speaker H. Jack Seltzer
HARRISBURG, Pa., March 4, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett today ordered all U.S. and Pennsylvania flags in the Capitol Complex and at commonwealth facilities in Lebanon County to be flown at half-staff on Sunday, March 6, in honor of former Pennsylvania House Speaker H. Jack Seltzer.
Seltzer died Feb. 28 at his home in Arizona. He was 88. Seltzer was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1957 and served 24 years, the last two years as Speaker. He was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Harrisburg and Palmyra.
A memorial service honoring Seltzer will be held March 6 in Palmyra, Lebanon County. Flags should remain at half staff through sunset.
