NEW YORK, March 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Penton Technology has announced the top Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and IT Service Providers in the world in the group's 8^th Annual MSPmentor 501 ranking of the world's top MSPs.

In a live webinar on Thursday, March 26, the Penton Technology Group's MSPmentor.net revealed the first 100 on its list of top managed service and IT providers.

This year, the top MSPmentor 501 companies recorded higher recurring revenues than ever before. Combined, the total annual recurring revenues for all of MSPmentor 501 2015 companies reached a record high of $3.95 billion in 2014, up 26.5% year over year.

Smartphones and tablets managed 1.04 million, up 31%
Physical servers and network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.) managed, 881,000, up 18%
Virtual machines managed (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, KVM, etc.), 532,000, up 52%
