NEW YORK, Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Percent, the platform powering modern private credit markets through access, liquidity and data, today announced the appointments of Bina Shetty as Chief Commercial Officer and Cecil Smart as Chief Credit Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the company scales its asset management capabilities.

The expansion of executive leadership comes alongside continued platform growth. Percent ended Q2 with $346.9 million in platform AUM, up $67.0 million over the last year, a 23.9% increase.

That growth reflects increasing institutional adoption of Percent's asset management business and of the technology that supports it, including white-label partnerships. Institutional and individual investors are using the same infrastructure, which Percent is building to bring access, liquidity optionality and data to every participant in the private credit market. Shetty and Smart take direct ownership of the two functions institutional investors weigh most heavily when evaluating a manager: commercial relationships and credit.

As Chief Credit Officer, Smart will oversee Percent's credit strategy, underwriting standards, portfolio surveillance and workout management. He brings more than 20 years of structured finance experience, most recently at Sixth Street, after previously leading the Commercial ABS group at Kroll Bond Rating Agency. Shetty, previously Head of Originations at Percent, will serve as Chief Commercial Officer, overseeing originations, borrower relationships and investor relations. She brings more than 25 years of investment banking experience, with prior roles at Merrill Lynch, CIBC World Markets and Canaccord Genuity. Together, the appointments establish dedicated leadership across Percent's commercial and credit functions as the company continues to scale its investment activities.

Percent has also expanded its focus on managed private credit products. Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), managed by Percent Advisors LLC, provide mandate-driven private credit portfolios built to clients' stated investment parameters. Percent's Secondary Market is available for investors to offer positions for sale before maturity. A sale requires a buyer and is not guaranteed.
