Sunshine Village is reporting 118 centimetres of new snow has fallen in the past seven days with Mount Norquay seeing 50 centimetres of fresh dry powder just in the last 24 hours.

"These are the best conditions I've ever seen anywhere and I've skied all over the world," said Chris Schermuly of Sunshine Village. "We're celebrating by immersing ourselves, literally, in head-deep powder."

The hills are looking forward to ideal spring conditions as the skies are forecast to remain clear over the next few days, just in time for skiers and snowboarders to carve some deep turns in Banff's legendary "champagne powder".
