Peruvian Flavors and Traditions Come Alive at Perú Mucho Gusto New York
The three-day culinary and cultural festival officially opens today in Brooklyn, bringing Perú's cuisine, music, and creativity to New York for the first time.
NEW YORK, Sept. 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The aromas of fresh ceviche, the beat of cajón drums, and the clinking of pisco cocktail glasses are filling Brooklyn's Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse today as Perú Mucho Gusto Culinary Festival officially kicks off its U.S. debut.
Running through September 21, the three-day festival—organized by PROMPERÚ—is free (with registration) and invites New Yorkers to taste, hear, and feel the heart of Perú through food, drink, music, and culture.

Food & Restaurants
A showcase of Peru's diverse flavors, from traditional ceviche and pollo a la brasa to Arequipa-inspired stews, and fusion creations, as well as classic and modern Peruvian desserts like gelato, sweet treats, and ice cream inspired by Peruvian flavors. Participating restaurants include: Don Ceviche, La Criolla, Incas Grill, Latusion, Barra Brava, Costa Verde Grill, El Warike, Kansha, Ceviches by Divino, Inca Social, The Icing House, Qoyas, Firenzes Gelato & Llama Ice Cream.
Superfoods & Lifestyle Pavilion
Exhibitors highlight Peru's role as a superfood powerhouse, featuring Andean grains, sauces, specialty coffee, and artisan jewelry. Participants include Del Campo Foods (Megabusiness Corporation), Inca's Food (Peruvian Import Co.), Rabble & Lion Coffee, and Andrea Jose Jewels.
Live Stage
Each day brings a dynamic program of chef demos, dance showcases, and live music:
- Friday, Sept 19 – Opening ceremony, pisco sour masterclass with Johnny Schuller & Claudia Moquillaza, evening concert.
- Saturday, Sept 20 – Folkloric dance performances, cooking demonstrations with chefs Marysabel Taboada and Flavio Solórzano, contemporary beats by DJ Shushupe, along with Nikkei cuisine and specialty coffee brewing demos from Perú.
- Sunday, Sept 21 – Traditional dance performances, cooking demonstrations with chefs Magali Ponce and José Luis Chávez, coffee tastings, and a grand closing show. Highlights include "causitas bites", Peruvian sweets, quinua creations, and Peruvian superfoods.
360° Pisco Bar
Throughout the weekend, Perú's national spirit takes center stage with interactive tastings, cocktail workshops, and storytelling sessions exploring pisco's rich heritage and future.
