Pete & Shorty's Set to Open Its 2nd Location in the Houston Area

KATY, Texas, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Pete and Shorty's Inc., of Clearwater, Florida, announced the opening of the second Pete and Shorty's in the Houston Area today, at 17790 Katy Freeway in Katy, TX. The new restaurant, Pete & Shorty's Kitchen & Tap, will feature the bite-sized "Shorty Burgers" the concept is known for, as well as live music, billiards, and shuffleboard. This place has a different feeling than most restaurant/bars. You can't describe it; you have to come see it.

Pete & Shorty's pays homage to the original location in Clarksville, Iowa established in 1934, offers cold drinks, hot food, and a warm welcome to all who entered. In 1997, the founders of the Hooters Restaurant chain, several whom are from Iowa, decided to bring their favorite Midwestern "joint" to Florida. They opened the doors to the first Pete & Shorty's in Clearwater, Florida in 1997. Taking their own sweet time, in 2009 the second Pete & Shorty's opened in Pinellas Park, Florida. The third location in Sugar Land, TX, is owned by VeLags, LLC and marked the entry into the Texas market.  Now, just 4 months after opening the Sugar Land location; Pete & Shorty's is coming to Katy, TX!

Pete & Shorty's is also known for its Juicy Lucy's; two super-sliders infused with cheese and The King Sandwich which is a thinly-breaded and tender pork tenderloin which overwhelms the bun and requires a knife and fork to finish.

Pete & Shorty's will also become an instant hit for crowds looking to have a little fun together.
