Peter Saville Pays Homage To The DNA Of Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilege Cognac

NEW YORK, Oct. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Hennessy, the world's number one selling Cognac, today announced the release of a new edition to the V.S.O.P Privilege Collector's series – the Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilege Limited Edition Bottle designed by acclaimed British art director and designer, Peter Saville. Inspired by Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilege's celebrated heritage, the bottle was reimagined in Saville's signature, color-coded artistic style taking inspiration from the origin and composition, or "genome" of the grape itself.

Saville recast the iconic carafe in an elegant, matte-gold with progressive color gradation. He was drawn to the contrast of the Cognac's bucolic origins with the cosmopolitan settings in which the beverage is usually showcased, incorporating muted earth tones and "chemical brights" such as neon pink, electric blue, and orange. Coupled with the "DNA" motif in a grid-like color scheme, the carafe also features an embossed white logo, delicate veil varnish, and pure metallic macaron.
