Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Company to Become Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Group

ALGONA, Iowa, June 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Company, a nationally recognized leader in commercial property and casualty insurance products for pharmacies and specialty healthcare service providers, is pleased to announce its restructuring into a limited mutual holding company (LMHC). The newly formed mutual holding company will be known as Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Group. The conversion to a LMHC is expected to be effective January 1, 2026.

This announcement follows approval by the company's lead regulator, the Iowa Insurance Division. This change allows the company to enhance its operational and financial flexibility while continuing to provide comprehensive insurance solutions for specialty healthcare businesses and grow its national insurance retail business, PMCA Insurance Solutions.

There will be no change to day-to-day operations, existing policies, or the great service that agents and insureds have come to expect from Pharmacists Mutual.
