Physicians Endoscopy began operations in 1998 organized as a Delaware limited liability company. Barry Tanner and Karen Sablyak, the company's respective CEO and CFO, joined the company in 1999 and are considered the founders of PE—co-writing the business plan that has evolved into what exists as Physicians Endoscopy today.  "PE's journey started as a little company sitting in a small office writing a business plan with one critical mission—to be the leader in supporting the single specialty of gastroenterology.
