WEXFORD, Pa., Feb. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Holsinger, P.C., one of the largest accounting firms in the Pittsburgh area, with headquarters in Wexford, Pennsylvania, has announced the opening of a new office in Charleston, South Carolina. Holsinger, a certified public accounting firm, serves clients in the U.S. and abroad with a wide spectrum of tax and audit services. Charleston is Holsinger's second satellite office, joining another in Honolulu, Hawaii, and will bring the full capabilities of the Holsinger practice to privately held companies, public sector organizations and high-wealth individuals in the Charleston area.

Holsinger believes the Charleston, South Carolina, market represents a prime opportunity to geographically expand its footprint, as well as its range of accounting services. Ann Fleming, CPA, former Holsinger manager and now a resident of Charleston, will manage the office. She rejoins the firm as a partner in the tax practice and as a vice president in the company. She will also support key Holsinger tax clients in Pittsburgh. Ms. Fleming was with Holsinger for 3+ years through December 2013. During that time she focused on the tax business, and is credited with instituting a number of technological advances and practices for the firm, including a solution for federal tax forms that automated the filing process.

More notably, Ms. Fleming has a master's degree in taxation and holds U.S. Court Tax Practitioners (USTCP) credentials that allow her, a non-attorney, to practice before the tax court. There are only 250 such licensed practitioners in the United States.
