Pivot Energy Releases 2024 Environmental, Social, and Governance Report, Underscoring Its Continued Leadership in Impact-Driven Work

Report outlines Pivot's path to net zero, how it impacted local communities, began purchasing domestic solar modules, and future ESG goals

DENVER, June 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Pivot Energy, a national leading renewable energy provider and independent power producer (IPP), today released its 2024 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, highlighting its steadfast commitment to advancing a more inclusive renewable energy future while staying firmly grounded in the values that set it apart.

ESG is not merely a framework at Pivot– it is ingrained in its operational ethos, guiding how it innovates, scales, and creates lasting value. In 2024, the company advanced key initiatives, including exploring a path to Net Zero, expanding Employee Resource Groups, launching an inaugural internship program, partnering with a domestic solar panel manufacturer, and more.

In 2024, Pivot achieved gold level recognition in the Solar Energy Industries Association's (SEIA) DEIJ certification program and accomplished an extraordinary milestone of 3.5 gigawatts (GW) of affordable renewable energy either completed or in development. Several notable partnerships with Fortune 500 companies, including Microsoft and Walmart, made it possible for Pivot to expand community solar access to 10,000 households, local businesses, and other organizations across the U.S. by 2045.

In addition, Pivot and Silfab Solar Inc., the solar industry's market leader for high-performance photovoltaic (PV) modules, entered a 350 MW supply agreement with Silfab's most advanced commercial PV modules. The partnership with the domestic supplier enhances transparency in Pivot's supply chain and reduces GHGs generated across operations.

Pivot donated nearly $400,000 to 18 different community organizations across Colorado, Illinois, and Maryland, which helped provide electric bill support for low-income families, residents pursue careers in the renewable energy industry, and support land stewardship and rural economic development. In addition, 53% of Pivot employees donated nearly $90,000, including a Pivot company match, to support 118 different organizations nationwide. To date, Pivot has invested a total of $1.32 million through its community donation program.

Pivot also continued to expand its agrivoltaics work; since 2023, the number of its solar project sites using agrivoltaics has grown 200%, with 30 completed projects as of spring 2025. In 2024, Pivot launched a pro bono legal service program to farmers, landowners, and others interested in joining the agrivoltaics industry and getting involved in solar projects. During 2024, Pivot also completed its first-ever solar + cropping + irrigation site, and partnered with United Agrivoltaics Heartland Alliance to sponsor the release of Bobwhite quail on solar sites across New York.
