Healthcare IT marketing veteran to lead brand and growth strategy as the firm expands into international markets
PANAMA CITY, Fla., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Pivot Point Consulting, a Best in KLAS healthcare IT consulting leader, today announced the appointment of Gwen Cantarera as Head of Marketing.
In her new role, Cantarera will lead Pivot Point's marketing strategy, strengthen the firm's market position, connect clients with the expertise and solutions they need, and support continued growth in the U.S. and expansion into international markets.
"Gwen brings a powerful combination of healthcare IT knowledge and growth marketing experience," said Michelle Lichte, Chief Growth Officer for Pivot Point. "She understands the pressures our clients are facing, from clinician workload to increasingly complex demands on healthcare teams, and why technology needs to make their work easier, not add to the burden. That perspective, along with her expertise translating how consulting services meets client needs, makes her the right leader to amplify how Pivot Point shows up in the market."
Cantarera's background closely aligns with that mandate. She has led global marketing strategy for a portfolio of approximately 60 consulting services and helped reshape positioning around the key challenges facing healthcare technology leaders. Throughout her career, Cantarera's work has consistently centered on translating complex healthcare technology and consulting capabilities into clear, relevant market strategies.
"There is a deep well of experience at Pivot Point, with people who have worked through and solved difficult challenges and understand what it takes to make technology work better for healthcare organizations," said Cantarera. "My focus is bringing more of that expertise forward, sharing the lessons learned, client successes, and practical insights that can help other healthcare leaders find effective solutions and keep technology working in support of patient care."
Cantarera has spent more than two decades of experience across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, spanning brand strategy, go-to-market leadership, partner marketing, demand generation, and communications. Her background includes senior roles in marketing, client partnerships, and commercial operations at Nordic, Pursuit Healthcare Advisors, Leidos Health, and Vitalize Consulting Solutions.
She will work closely with Pivot Point's leadership teams across the business, including Chief Delivery Officer Marc Hirshfield, to align marketing strategy and execution with the firm's broader growth priorities.
"Gwen and I have worked together at several points throughout our careers, so I've seen firsthand the depth of experience, judgment, and relationship-building she brings to her work," said Hirshfield. "Those qualities are especially important in this next chapter for Pivot Point, because success depends on how well we understand our clients, anticipate their needs, and create lasting value for them. I'm confident Gwen will make a meaningful impact here, and I'm personally excited to have the opportunity to work with her again."
"When technology works the way it should, nobody notices it. That's our goal," Cantarera said.
