NEW YORK, April 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PlaceIQ, the company building a new model of consumer behavior by connecting physical and digital activities across time, space, and mobile devices, today announced the appointment of Mandeep Mason as its first general manager for the EMEA region. Mr. Mason will be charged with establishing operations in the region, building partnerships and scaling PlaceIQ's presence to keep pace with growing demand from international agencies, brands and partners.
Most recently Mr. Mason led mobile advertising sales and strategy in EMEA for Microsoft. In this role he was responsible for driving significant revenue growth with agencies and advertisers, activating new markets, securing partnerships and steering product strategy.

Prior to Microsoft, Mr. Mason held senior roles in Nokia's advertising group and NAVTEQ (now Nokia Here) where he helped the businesses pioneer mobile display advertising initiatives and later helped launch one of the industry's first location-based advertising propositions in EMEA.
In addition, Mr. Mason has held advisory board roles for both the IAB and MMA in EMEA, where he has contributed towards industry thought leadership and best practice development. He was also previously recognized by The Drum as one of the "50 Most Influential People in Mobile."
