Planet Fitness Announces $1,000,000 Expansion of Burton, MI., Club

BURTON, Mich., Dec. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Planet Fitness, the innovative health club franchise known for its Judgement Free Zone^® and affordable prices, announced the extensive remodeling of its Burton club, located at 4190 E. Court Street.  The Burton gym is now one of the most state of the art health clubs in the area, and includes 6,000 square feet of brand new space along with all new cardio and resistance equipment, a larger stretching area and new floors and tile. Total improvements exceeded $1 million.

The Burton, MI club is open 24-hours five days a week, and 7am-7pm on weekends. Starting January 1^st, the club will be open and staffed 24-hours, seven days a week. The club features an extensive selection of cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, arc trainers, and stationary bikes. Every cardio machine is connected to a completely updated entertainment system consisting of new 55 inch televisions.  Planet Fitness also offers a full complement of upper and lower body strength machines, a 30-minute PF Express circuit, and a new 12-minute ab circuit. The Burton club includes a Relaxation Zone, featuring new HydroMassage® beds, massage chairs, and state of the art multi-level tanning and Red Light therapy booths.  In addition, unlimited fitness instruction provided by a certified trainer is included with all memberships.
