Join Planet Fitness' Portage club for just $1 down and then $10 a month with no commitment, first payment not until January 17; all enrollment fees through end of the year will be matched and donated to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo as part of Grand Opening Celebration
PORTAGE, Mich., Nov. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Planet Fitness, the innovative health club franchise known for its Judgement Free Zone® and affordable prices, today announced plans to open in Portage, the second Planet Fitness location in the Greater Kalamazoo area. The Portage Planet Fitness club, located at 6420 South Westnedge Avenue, will open by the end of this year.
A membership pre-sale will begin on November 10, during which members can join for just $1 down and then $10 a month, and be entered for the chance to win a free membership for a year. Until the Portage club opens by the end of the year, members who join during pre-sale will be able to use the nearby Planet Fitness in Kalamazoo for free, and won't be billed until January 17, 2015. With the PF Black Card® membership, which is only $19.99 a month, Portage club members will be able to continue to use the Kalamazoo Planet Fitness at their convenience, along with the 850+ clubs in the Planet Fitness chain throughout the country. The Kalamazoo Planet Fitness is located at 4408 Stadium Drive, only 6 miles away from the Portage location. To further support the Greater Kalamazoo area, Planet Fitness has partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo to donate all pre-sale enrollment fees to the organization. The franchisee will also match the donation as part of the Grand Opening celebration.

The club will be open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
