Platinum Luxury Auctions Returns to Upstate NY For Second Skaneateles Auction

SYRACUSE, N.Y., July 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Platinum Luxury Auctions, one of the nation's most successful luxury real estate auction firms, has announced the August 16th auction of a large, lakefront estate in Skaneateles, New York. Though the seller previously asked $4.8 million for the home, it will now be sold to the highest bidder at or above the auction's reserve price of $2.25 million. This offering follows Platinum's 2014 sale in Skaneateles for $4.1 million, which marked one of the highest prices on the lake within the last ten years. Platinum is conducting the sale in cooperation with listing agent Giuseppe Zavaglia of Realty USA CNY, Inc.

The property's owner is prominent Syracuse developer Cosimo Zavaglia, who - interestingly enough - purchased the property at a government auction several years ago. Zavaglia then invested significantly in an extensive renovation of the estate, intending to personally occupy the residence before changing his plans and placing it for sale.
