PARIS, Nov. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- OPENSTACK SUMMIT -- PLUMgrid, a leading innovator of virtual network infrastructure for OpenStack clouds, has joined the SUSE PartnerNet Program to integrate PLUMgrid Open Networking Suite with SUSE Linux Enterprise. The move kicks off engineering certification work to add SUSE Cloud as the latest OpenStack distro to be supported by PLUMgrid ONS.
SUSE Cloud joins the major distros that are supported by PLUMgrid including Red Hat, Mirantis, Oracle, Piston and Canonical. Enterprises are embracing distros as the strategy of choice for deploying OpenStack private clouds. The array of popular OpenStack distros supported by PLUMgrid ONS assures that PLUMgrid can deliver the virtualized networking functions (VNFs) customers need, on the OpenStack distro they want.
