DfT funding boosts growth of electric vehicle charging industry for UK PLC

POD Point, Europe's leading electric vehicle charging company, has forecast 100% year on year growth.

The UK leads technological development in electric vehicle charging in Europe, and POD Point, who introduced charging hardware and energy management software, has been instrumental in forming the UK's leadership position in this new and rapidly expanding industry.

The Department for Transport's announcement earlier today of £37 million funding for electric vehicle charging brings the UK in line with European countries.  Fully national, the funding supersedes the previous Plugged in Places funding, and extends across all of the UK and encompasses a strategy for electric vehicle charging at railway stations.
