Poolman Celebrates 50 Years In The Pool Service Industry

PHOENIX, Feb. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Poolman, a pool maintenance and pool remodel company, celebrates its 50^th anniversary in 2014. From humble beginnings, Poolman has grown over the past 50 years to be the largest pool service company in Arizona. In 1964, Poolman launched their business like most pool companies – from the back of a station wagon. With a focus on customer service and innovation, they quickly saw growth in a competitive market. After 50 years, they continue to be a Better Business Bureau A+ company.

In 2000, Poolman became a subsidiary of American Pool Enterprises, Inc., which gave them the resources to begin their salt system initiative. Their Free Salt System offer helped customers switch their chlorination systems to salt chlorination. Salt chlorination provides a better swimming experience – like soft skin and no harsh chemical smells – that is also better for the environment. With Poolman, customers no longer needed to invest thousands of dollars to purchase and install a salt system of their own. Poolman has 6,500 pool owners on service and over 5,600 have taken advantage of salt chlorination.

As a company, Poolman hosts an annual employee retreat in Arizona to recognize their accomplishments. At this year's event, they celebrated 50 years as a company with their family of employees.

Employees also participate in local blood drives and have organized supply drives for troops overseas.
