Porte Brown Earns Two National Workplace Honors from Accounting Today

Firm ranks #7 among midsize accounting firms and is one of only 20 firms named a 2026 Best Firm for Women

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill., Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Porte Brown LLC, a full-service accounting and consulting firm, has earned two national workplace distinctions from Accounting Today. The firm ranked #7 among midsize firms in the 2026 Best Accounting Firms to Work For program and was one of only 20 firms named a 2026 Best Firm for Women.

One hundred firms earned a place on Accounting Today's 2026 Best Accounting Firms to Work For list. Porte Brown ranked #7 among firms with 50 to 249 employees, matching its 2025 ranking and marking its second consecutive year among the nation's top 10 midsize accounting firms to work for.

From the 100 firms recognized through the Best Accounting Firms to Work For program, only 20 met the additional criteria to be named a Best Firm for Women. Porte Brown ranked #16 among this select national group.

The Best Firms for Women recognition is based on the workplace experiences reported by female employees, along with specific criteria related to female representation, survey participation and overall employee satisfaction. Qualifying firms must meet established benchmarks, including an average positive survey response of at least 80% among female employees.

"We're proud to be recognized among Accounting Today's Best Firms for Women," said Kelley Hare, CPA, MST, Tax Partner. "This honor reflects our commitment to creating a workplace where women are supported, valued and able to grow as professionals and leaders."

Together, Porte Brown's #7 ranking among midsize accounting firms and its inclusion among the 20 Best Firms for Women reflect the firm's continued focus on employee satisfaction, professional development and a positive workplace culture.

The national recognition follows additional workplace honors earned earlier this year, when Porte Brown ranked #2 overall among medium-sized employers in the 2026 Best Places to Work in Illinois program and received the #1 ranking for both women and Gen Z.
