CHESTER, Pa., March 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Power Home Remodeling Group, the nation's fourth largest home improvement company, has been named to The Philadelphia Inquirer's "Top Workplaces" list for the second consecutive year. The "Top Workplaces" list identifies leading workplaces in the Philadelphia area based upon the opinions of employees.
More than 90 percent of Power's 310 locally-based employees completed detailed questionnaires about their jobs, management and work environment – citing the company's upward growth and direction, career opportunities and training, and positive management as reasons why Power should be named as Philadelphia's top midsized employer.
Jeff Kaliner, co-founder and chief executive officer of Power Home Remodeling Group, commented, "I'm proud of the company's unique culture and the entrepreneurial attitude of our employees. We're empowered by a strong, talented workforce and I'm honored that our employees are confident in my leadership. Our goal is to be the number one home remodeler in the country, and to translate our growth into job creation and stable employment opportunities at our headquarters here in Philadelphia – as well as across the U.S. within the next few years."
Over 1,600 companies, nonprofits and government agencies in the Philadelphia region were invited to participate in the survey. Eligible organizations fell into three sizes; small with fewer than 150 employees, midsized with 150 to 500 employees and large with more than 500 employees. Employees were asked to respond to survey questions about the organization's direction, management, execution, workplace conditions, career opportunities and pay/benefits.
